Primo DOP Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a top quality monocultivar Sicilian EVOO obtained using only the early green harvest of the variety Tonda Iblea 100%.Ā Primo DOP is produced on the Monti Iblei, 350-400 meters above the sea level, from centuries-old D.O.P. certified olive tree groves. The olives are harvested by hand between mid-September and the end of October and they are cold pressed within 6 hours to create one of the most prized Extra Virgin Olive Oil in Italy.
To the eye, Primo DOP presents aĀ brilliant green color with golden reflections. The aroma isĀ intense andĀ rich, featuring a fabulousĀ scent of green tomato and freshly mown grass. You may also taste a delicate note ofĀ fresh aromatic herbs andĀ sweet almonds mid palate, typical of the Tonda Iblea olives variety. The result is a perfect balance between sweet, bitter and spicy elements which create a fabulous harmony at the palate. The smell is intensely fruity, with a distinctive note of tomato leaves and fresh aromatic herbs.Ā
Selezione Cutrera Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a top quality multicultivar Sicilian EVOO obtained using five different top quality varieties of olives, Ā Moresca, Biancolilla,Ā Nocellara, Cerasuola and Tonda Iblea, all grown and harvested from young olive tree groves overlooking the Mediterranean sea, which is considered the best area in Sicily for the production of premium quality olive oil. The olives are harvested by hand at the beginning of November until the end of the of the season and are cold extracted to create an exceptional, medium-bodied, extra virgin olive oil.Ā
